Full Title: Warmth and Stillness

[Doctor/Donna | G | fluff/romance]

He lies against her in the stillness of the dark, face buried in her hair, memorizing her with every languid breath. He doesn't need the sleep she does, but he needs this; needs her. He's afraid to admit how much.

She carries his love in her fingertips and his baby in her belly, heavy over her hips, warm beneath his hand. She thinks she's fat but he thinks she's beautiful.

He lays the softest ghost of a kiss against her bare shoulder, careful not to wake her. She's been so tired lately.

He thinks it will be any day now.
Rated G. Doctor/Donna, from Doctor Who. Could really be anyone though, I suppose. *shrugs*

Prompt was baby.

If this isn't pure poetry then I don't know what is. Fantastic job! I love Doctor/Donna and it's nice to see another shipper out there. And baby fics are always enjoyable.
